Fun video showing a large gyroscope I built in action. It explains gyroscopic precession. The fun part is in the awesome gyroscope I made and also in discussion about this gyroscope flying saucer design that doesn't work but makes for some fun speculation and animation.
Animation done using Blender.

@field16 Look for the simplest solution and you'll usually find something that works. Also, you can build pretty much anything if you design it as a bunch of pieces that work together and then patiently build them one piece at a time. That way a complex thing is simple to build since it's just a bunch of simple to build pieces. Combine those two things and your imagination's the limit.

I like your idea of keeping that drill on with a tie strap.
It was interesting to see how one end went up!
It's amazing what you could do, as one man with limited funds. You simulated a "UFO" with gyroscopes and Blender animation on your computer. Imagine what the powerful organizations of the world could do and are doing in secret.
Peace to you.
