Stacker Parking at the 20 on Hawthorne

This post-apocalyptic thriller describes a world where robots park our cars for us. A pretty scary idea, but in reality they have feelings, just like us.

Turns out this is actaully a pretty sweet automated parking system at a new apartment building on 20th and Hawthorne in Southeast Portland. The system parks 29 cars in 10 stalls, by shuffling cars up and down or side to side in order to accomodate cars on three levels.

The stacker typically takes 35-45 seconds to get your car.
