Pahok Ktiss is a Cambodian fresh and cooked vegetable dip made with ground pork, coconut milk and enhance with pahok sauce.

This is my first video with voice over. I hope that my instructions are clear. Just let me know if you have any questions.

  • how much pahok sauce did you add to the water to cook it, and how much water, exactly?

  • @babywillowbee I don't have specific measurement for the pahok sauce because everytime I make it it varies by how strong I prefer my pahok that day. Usually it's 1-2 tablespoon pahok with 1 cup or water, boil then simmer. Again, you can always adjust the strength with the amount of water/pahok ratio.

  • your recipe is fucked up.If you don't have the trop mannhong, there's no point of making it.It's like cooking rice without rice.Peas doesn't make up for the taste of trop nhong.

  • @Ihatebarackosamaalot Lucky you are able to satisfy your hunger with the real trop put-ngorng (not mannhong). Unfortunately, some of us do not live in areas that carry them. For this reason, we have to make use of what we can. Maybe you can be so kind to send us some if you have the heart and luxury of doing so. I'm sure we will appreciate it. Better yet, maybe you can buy me a RT airfare to Cambodia and I'll go get some LOL I might then re-do this tutorial using the real trop put-ngorng. Deal?

  • Where can I buy the red color pepper

  • can i use ground beef?

  • there's nothing wrong with being a little creative with your dish....i would do the same if i don't have that tiny trop!!!

  • Nice recipe and enticing presentation!! Good job. Thanks for sharing your well presented video with complete step from beginning to the end. One thing i would add is a little bit of curry paste, it brings up the smell and taste.

  • hmmm this looks really goood, i showed my mom this video she says that she got brought up making that with a bit of lemongrass paste and lime garnish on side

  • @ ihatebarackosamaalot do u even do a research on trop mannhong u eat all u want other people dont like they dont need to use it. it's people preference. trop mannhong is banned from Asian store and do u why they banned it? cus it might kill u slowly or shorten your freakin life. if u decided to eat it be my guess. and thanx to Khat for a tremendous job posting the video so i could learn from it. You wouldn't know how many people appreciated your video, specially the one that into khmer food.
