Babygirl laying 42 eggs and how i made the egg box

Babygirl at 2yo laying 42 infertal eggs while i recorded it. Built it with a 55 gal. rubbermaid container, 150 pounds of clean play sand then new under tank heater and then 300 pounds more clean play sand just enuff water added as sand added so she could dig holes in it. i have a ig and dnt know if it is a male or female.. is 5yrs old and never laid eggs. so I think its a male but he does not have big jouwls or spikes under the legs. can u give me any advice?

@queenofthemara usually if by 5 yo they haven't laid eggs their a male but u could have a sneaker male who looks like a girl to sneak in and mate with the girls when the big males are fighting lol look under the back legs if they have the line of spikes form the hip to the knee its a boy

Fixing iguanas?! They lay eggs like it or not??? I am certain they dont tell you that when you buy a lizard. Sadly from what I have read online about lizards in general many dont live that long or get to that size to worry about such things. Even if I cant figure out Bintys sex am learning alot from you! Re: Grandmas room. A person and not a lizard? If so I am surprized. Older people often dislike lizards etc. Alot of women do too. Neat woman if she gets along with them!

@CatpurrRobertaBobbi yep theres ALLOT they dont tell u cause if they did most people would never buy one, binty is all male his jowls are not as big as they should be cause he went into mating season at 1yo & was chewing on everyone! so i had to get him fixed alittle too young but he will prove hes a very dominant male if needed :)

so what does it mean if the eggs are infertile? does that mean they wont hatch? and what do you do with the eggs? my iguana, shes only over a year old and shes going to lay eggs, i have no clue what to do about it! :( please help :s

I have a rescue that I rescued in April. With her previous owner she laid 43 eggs and had bad MBD, She had to get vitamin injections, etc...

She is gravid again, almost 2 yrs later. This is my first time with a gravid iguana. I took her in for x-rays so I know for sure. Looks like atleast 50 this time. She is huge and ready at any point. I made her a box that she spends most of her day in just digging around and sleeping. The doc said her bones look great!! Can she become egg bound?
