Even the Iranian newscaster who introduced the report on the "World without Zionism" conference used the word "Israel" (instead of the "Jerusalem-occupying regime") and also the word "world" (instead of the "page of time"), rendering Ahmadinejad's statement as "erasing Israel, this disgraceful stain, from the world."

saeedisirjani: It's a fact that Iran's political platform is REPUBLIC. The "democratic nature" of a state is sth that belongs to a different domain of study and not the political patforms. Although one can argue that Iran is an electoral democratic republic state rather than a liberal democratic one; sth that again many would confuse with a dictatorship rather than a quasi-dictatorship. Try to look at world affairs in a more dynamic way rather than a black/white dichotomic fashion.

Ahmadinejad has been PROVEN NOT to have said he wanted to wipe isreal off the map.
He said he thinks the israeli regime should Vanish from the pages of time.
Theres no mention of WIPE or MAP...

Indian guy was funny! totally foxed up! The guy doesn't even know that Iran is a "republic" thus there is no prime minister in Iran. Ahmadinejad is the President of Iran. I guess now it's up to u whether to concur with what he said abt Iranian nuclear activity which by the way so far accroding to IAEA reports is absolutely LEGAL.
