Sea Isle City, NJ, ~ Coast Guard Station After Hurricane Irene

After returning to Sea Isle City on Sunday 1:30pm when the government officials approved entrance back on the island I dropped off my personal belongings and set out to see how we fared. To my surprise I found that we were very lucky. It was like the Twilight Zone as no one was around and it was warm and the sun was trying to come out. The beach was still there and the wind was blowing hard from the back end of the storm. By the bay by the Coast Guard Station you can see that it was abandoned and boarded up before the storm . By 2pm you can see that there was no flooding and the streets were clear.
