Or . . . option #3. . . they are both fictions written by primitive, superstitious men. . . all of the available evidence suggests option #3. . .

@tipoomaster Your not believing in God is perfectly compatible with his existence. If you need rational reasons, watch WLC debating Christopher Hitchens.

@GodIsWorkinOnMe LoL, you need to read them again.

@ZiadAld you're obviously ignorant of religious iconography.. idolatry is worshipping an idol, catholics do not worship or pray TO idols, we just keep their images around like mementos.. if you have a loved one, you keep a photo of them in your wallet.. it's the same thing.. we love our saints, we want to be reminded of them from time to time but we do not "worship" them

Not John, not Matthew, not Mark, not Luke ever met Jesus.

No eyewitness accounts exist in the 4 gospels nor do they claim to be.

That Qur'an passage refers to the idolisation and worship of Mary in certain Christian groups such as Catholicism. Catholics will pray to Mary and create idols of her as the Mother of God. Hence, the Qur'an passage is entirely justified.
In addition, it is an absolute joke that he attributes the idea that the Bible is more reliable than the Qur'an. The Qur'an was written in the first generation and scribed by one person. The Bible has many writers, many of whose identities we do not know.

Yes, but humans didn't start believing there were wavelengths of light we could not see until the evidence in favor of that theory started stacking up. I haven't seen or heard of any adequate evidence for gods existence, therefore I do not believe he exists. I might be wrong, but but right now I have no reason to believe otherwise. Simple as that. The way you stated it was a straw man.

@hayakain It's quite simple. There's no evidence for the existence of any gods. I'm sure you'll come back with things like "Where'd this come from?" or "Look at the design" or "The human eye is so complex" but such things are arguments from ignorance and/or emotion. I'll say it again: there's no evidence for the existence of any gods. You can claim the magnificence of the universe all you want (and I'll agree with you) but that is not any proof or evidence that a god exists. Your thoughts?
