Ricky Davis On March 16, 2003, In the closing seconds of a game against Utah, Davis was one rebound short of his first career triple-double. In an effort to record that rebound, Davis attempted to deliberately miss a shot at his team's own basket, but was fouled by Utah's DeShawn Stevenson before he could get the shot off.

I'm still disappointed in Stevenson. If I were him I would've knocked his ass to the floor. Padding your own stats is like celebrating an empty net goal or shooting on goal after the whistle is blown in hockey: shit that'll get your ass kicked.

@Epicously, yeah there have been four quad doubles in the history of the NBA. There should be five as Akeem did it twice but for some reason wasn't credited with his tenth rebound in one of those games. He was credited with the rebound later but it was just added to his year-end totals rather than changing the official box score. But yeah there have been four official quad doubles, three with blocks being the fourth category in double digits and one with steals.
