Another Enya track set to Stonehenge etc not sure of the Translation of the title so not sire it fits well , someone might tell me ----- Lyrics------- Gaelic) and translation (in English)
Éist le mo chroí
Go brónach a choích
Tá mé cailte gan tú
s do bhean cheile
An grá mór i do shaoil
Threoraí sí me.
Bígí liomsa i gconaí
Lás oích.

Listen to my heart.
So sad forever;
I am lost without you
And your wife,
The great love in your life.
She guided me.
Both of you, be with me always,
Day and night.

Curfa:
Ag coaineadh ar an uaigneas mór
Na deora, go brónach
Na gcodladh ins an uaigh ghlas chiúin
Faoi shuimhneas, go domhain.

Chorus:
I cry at the great loneliness
Tears, so sad,
And you sleeping in the quiet, green grave
In deep peace.

Aoibhneas a bhí
Ach dímigh sin
Sé lean tú
Do fhear cheile
An grá mór i do shaoil
Threoraí sé mé
Bígí liomsa i gconaí
Lás oích.

There was happiness,
But it went away.
You followed your husband,
The great love in your life.
He guided me.
Both of you, be with me always,
Day and night.

Curfa:
Ag coaineadh ar an uaigneas mór
Na deora, go brónach
Na gcodladh ins an uaigh ghlas chiúin
Faoi shuimhneas, go domhain.

Chorus:
I cry at the great loneliness
Tears, so sad,
And you sleeping in the quiet, green grave
In deep peace.

Smaointe, ar an lá
Raibh sibh ar mo thaobh
Ag ínse scéil
Ar and doigh a bhí
Is cumhín liom an lá
Gan ghas gan ghruaim
Bígí liomsa i gconaí
Lás oích.

I think of the day
That you were at my side
Telling stories
Of the days that were.
I remember the day,
Without want and without gloom.
Both of you, be with me always,
Day and night

  • How could ANYONE dislike this? Seriously.

  • heres another touching moment with this song. Last year in christian studies at our school, our teacher was reading the book of revelations to us. She had this song playing in the background. I put my head down and thought about Heaven and how amazing it must be up there. I definitely cried there too...:)

  • I never shed a tear when listening to songs. This song touched my soul and made me cry... You do not need to understand the language to understand the message... Beyond beautiful, enchanting... I'm really sad for the people who don't experience this when listening to this divine music.

  • Can't wait to be there. :-)

  • UPLOADER... Your description.. GAELIC is the goddamn sport, Gaeilge is the language..
