Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS (Mormon) because I believe that God still loves His children and that in today's world, more than ever, we need Him in our lives! I know that a God who has always followed a pattern of revealing His truths and guiding His children through this difficult life would not leave us helpless to find our way through this life, hoping to find the right 'opinion' of his word out of thousands of beliefs and interpretations. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and that He has called prophets in our times just as He did in biblical times. Why wouldn't He? We need His direct guidance now more than this world ever has! I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet just like Moses was, and that our current prophet Thomas S. Monson is too. I have earned these beliefs through careful study of both the Book of Mormon and the Bible and through sincere prayer to our Father in Heaven.

  • @SGTProduction I also think when he says he's glad to be an amputee that he means he's grown a lot from the experience. I know that when I look back on the hard times of my life I would say that, although I wasn't so glad about it while I was going through it, on the other side of the trouble I am glad that I went through it because it helped me to become better.

  • I am heavy weapons guy... THIS is my weapon... and I'm a mormon :D

  • how can any person dislike this video whether you agree with his religion or not he is a perfect example of overcoming adversity

  • He never asked for this.

(God I've been playing too much Deus Ex)

  • @doubledre31 God told the Jews that they would suffer for putting Jesus on the cross. that was it im guessing.

  • @alexdelangel11 First of all the bible is composed of many books. King James picked and chose what he wanted to put together, and when he said not to add or take away from his words he meant that particular book. 2nd of all the bible mentions other books that are not included in the bible such as the book of wars and the book of records and the dead sea scrolls. So are they not true either? But either way nice observation man

  • @EnderOnIce That is a ridiculous reasoning you have there. Religion was never the start of human morals.

It would be ludicrous to say that because I am an Atheist, I have no morals and I do not try to make up for bad behavior. I have drive because I like living, and I like health, not because a man two thousand years ago told people he was going to die for their wrongdoings. Just some insight...

  • This video is NOT to make non members to feel sad and join the church. Half of the adults in the US know none or little about the Mormon church. The reason for these videos is not to make you "feel bad" but to teach you about the church. So you know the RIGHT things about the church. Not the rumors that everyone talks about.

  • @SGTProduction But why do we have drive? I have been considering my beliefs recently: What does the church do for me? What does belief in Christ do for me? When I do something wrong, I feel that it is wrong, and the only reason I can have hope that I can move forward is if I do all I can to make restitution and repent. That is what keeps me going. And that principle, like so many others in christian belief, is something for which a witness can be received, but which also must be taken on faith.

  • @SGTProduction Jarem is a friend of mine. If I could have half of Jarem's "irrationality" then I would be twice the man I am today.

Jesus Christ was there for me in my most difficult trial. My relationship and faith in him have been and are central to me maintaining a healthy emotional and spiritual state through it.
