The Mini Starminx was designed after a challenge from Andrew Cormier to design an as small as possible Starminx, pushing the known limits of 3D printing. Well, I pushed the limits and then some and I managed to make the world's smallest Starminx which measures only 25mm on an edge and stands a little lower than a regular Rubik's Cube.
Given the Starminx's success, I also designed a 25mm Pentultimate and Pyraminx Crystal. Matching Master Pentultimate and Megaminx are still in the works.

A DIY kit can be purchased from Shapeways for just $119/€100 (free S&H) from Shapeways - you will need to supply your own stickers and screw, you get just the plastic parts. Please contact me to receive purchasing information.
Assembled and stickered puzzles can be purchased directly from me for $230 (+S&H). Please contact me directly to purchase either a DIY kit or an assembled puzzle.

  • @unionrodent probly.

  • @CubeBrad Are you sure you're talking about the face turning Starminx and not the corner turning "Starminx" sold by mf8?

  • @TomPuzzle face* not corners, and i find the way that i orient and position peices to be the same, i use the same sort of method for both?

    personal opinoion + preference.

  • @CubeBrad What are you talking about? The Starminx is a face turning puzzle but solving it is very different from solving a Megaminx. None of the parts behave in the same way.

  • @john17972 almost the same, besides you dont turn sides you turn corners so you just need to wrap your head around it

  • Looks harder to solve than the megaminx.

  • Beautiful puzzle! I still need to tension, break in, and lube (and sticker :P) mine, but it turns quite smoothly!

  • Another "hardware dream" from the genious TomZ

  • Yay! A starminx that I can afford!

I'll be ordering this soon, maybe in the next few weeks...

'cause I've always wanted one. I mean, $119! It's not so much when you think about it...

Great job on the puzzle! :D

  • I just can't believe how amassing it turns. It's so perfect! I think this may be my new favourite puzzle. congrats on the build!
