Nikon D700

This is my Nikon D700 after it has been returned to me from repair by Nikon. It looks like the forums and user groups are all right... nikon are terrible at doing repairs and getting a unit repair correct first time. I have been without the camera for about 5 weeks now and am not very pleased - in fact I am furious at the prospect of being without the camera for NIkons usual 4 week turn around - I have missed shooting nearly all the christian music festivals that this extra special camera was bought to shoot (as well as studio type indoors use)

Thats terrible. Why would Jesus let you be without a camera for so long? Don't blame Nikon, you obviously have sinned or didn't pray hard enough!

Pharoah totally spot on. I bought some loo roll earlier today and was thinking about doing an unboxing but you brought me back to sanity.

Nikkor200 - I mean seriously.... you're whinging at me - and you named yourself after a lens? Get out and get sone photography done you complete tool bag.

As it happens I have owned a 70-200vr for nearly 4 years now... and its in limited edition grey, as is my 12-24.

I now have two bodies, both d700 guys and the second one ha not given

You're entitled to your opinion - I'd be fairly confident however that no-one in real life actually wants to hear it... apparently the advent of the internet has helped council many people like you!

That is so out of order, having purchased one over the weekend I'd be fuming if they had the audacity to send the camera back in that state...I hope you get it sorted...

Just got my Nikon D700 back from an authorized repair facility and it just didn't feel right, so I checked the EFIX data in Adobe bridge and behold the data comes back with a different camera serial number and a different photographers name in the copyright field, So I have to assume they repaired it with used parts. EFIX could be useful to check for fraudulent repairs.
