Waterbeach Cadet Training Centre welcomed official guests, friends and families on Saturday 20 September, resounding to spectacular fly pasts from WW2 Hurricane and Spitfire aircraft. H.M. Lord Lieutenant and Honorary Colonel Hugh Duberly CBE opened the event at 2pm with spectators enjoying displays of music by the Corps of Drums and witnessing the skills of the County First Aid and Drill Display teams. Static displays by the Regular and Territorial Army strongly supported key events of a 24 foot climbing wall, archery, shooting, signals displays and paint balling. Even a police fireams response vehicle turned up to impress the crowd! And.....the smell of the full hog roast tempted everyone to try a real snack treat. What a day !
