All I can say is thank holy fuck she 'Stole' this,one of the best songs Dylan wrote and he didn't even think to record it....

my stars...I have that LP...I AM OLDER THAN DIRT...haha but it's Baez singing 16 of Dylan's songs and I guess my kids will throw it out when DH and I are plowed under...should I will it to some Baez/Dylan loving fan? haha mine are all hiphop!

To Br0709: No you don't . The thing is that when life seems to slip away, especially when you're high and growing old, you want to go back, go back, go back... You stop just short of the verge...This is not a good place to be. You have to be a very stable human not to retreat to the music and death...

I read a letter written to "Dear Abby" years ago. The writer spoke of her difficult High School years in which she was the class scapegoat, shunned and ignored by her peers...until one day into the school came a total free spirit who befriended her, spent time with her, and made her school days livable. That free spirit was Joan Baez. Even back then, Joan was making a difference. Her befriending of that lonely girl goes down, in my mind, as one of the finest things she ever did.
