changed the bridge pup in my Squier Jazzmaster to a Seth Lover. For some reason the 2 pups are out of phase (wired backwards) so I went with it and did a recording with this out of phase nasal like sound before fixing it..Delay was the axe2 using digital w/mod delay set to 520 ms. Used the top boost amp model and 2x12 cab, some chamber reverb and used the headphone out to record as i get less noise that way..

  • @mick3b1g Hey dude I like your tone! I got a question regarding teles and gretsch style pickups. I've always was interested in a fender 72 telecastor deluxe (big headstock version). I just kinda came up with a plan to put on a bigsby on it and then swap pickups to gretsch style pickups like fitertons or something. Would this work out? I read the description of this video, but I kinda don't get it. Is there a reason you put in a seth lover and a gretch pickup? Please give me some advice; thanks!

  • @seanchristiandavid the only reason I put the seth lover in the bridge was I already have 3 other Gretsch guitars with the same pups so I wanted somthing different and this being a Squier lends me to use this guitar as a test guitar or experemental. Your idea will work fine and will sound great

  • @mick3b1g Thanks for the reply! Really appreciate it. Also, another question; does your middle position still work; so essentially you would be able to blend the gretcsh pickup with the seth lovers?

  • @davidkim1221 yes it does its what Im using here its out of phase though meaning I wire the bridge pup backward so I get this weak nasal like tone

  • @mick3b1g I see; so it's an easy fix right? Do you think keeping the seth lover on the 72 deluxe on the bridge and putting in a filtertron in the neck would work too ?

  • @davidkim1221 well I didn't plan on doing it this way it was because I had this pup laying around. It will work You may or may not have to route some wood depending the depth of the cavity in the tele body it all depends..the stock pup may or may not be as deep. In my case i didn't have to do anything and its an easy change back if i want

  • @mick3b1g Dude thanks for the reply; really appreciate it! :)

  • @mick3b1g so why not have both in-phase and out-of-phase options at your fingertips? Best of both worlds then

  • @TalkToTheBody aha you found the secret..the pic.. yea I left it out of phase its a nice option to have and other than the vol drop I like this sound

  • @TheFly360 yes I did a could years ago check my channel prob could do better with the axe 2
