@Keith6783 thanks for reply. Please read and reply. cus u did not show this config in ur network.
Actually i didn’t advertise directly connected physical interfaces ip addresses into bgp table aswell. For an example 10.56.0.0 & 192.168.68.0. Both sides’ loopbacks are in BGP routing table. But when i ping from R5 to R8. Packet go all across the way to destination R8, but didnt know how to come back. There was no R5 physical ip address 10.56.0.0 advertised into R8 bgp table.

Connect s0/0 or s0/0/0 of both routers R6 (192.168.68.6) and R8(.8) using serial cable. execute:#show controllers, on both routers. That will tell DCe and DTE routers. Then execute on Dce router: (config-if)clock rate 64000 (or any suitable frequency, although I do not know if it is totally extra work). By the way, packet tracer does not allow/run Internal BGP. else The tutorial lab worked beautifully. I tried Cisco learning, but found no help.
Thanks

Thank you for the clarification :)
HI Keith I did same config with same topology. i can see EBGP routes from R8 into my IBGP router R5 with >* but i cant ping (R8) 8.8.8.8 from (R5) 5.5.5.5. I can ping between R6 & R8.

@tarjb
Check to see that the 8.8.8.8 is in BGP. If it isn't, you will need to add it at R8.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME. WHICH VERSION OF THE CISCO IOS SUPPORTS BGP? I have routers running 12.4 and they simply respond 'protocol not in this image'
THANKS!

@davGbrap
The enterprise versions of most IOS support BGP. The "feature navigator" tool on Cisco's web site can let you know exactly which versions on which platforms support BGP or any other feature that is needed.

Hi Sir
When I tried to connect Area 3 and Area 89 routers virtually using serial cable, there I do not know how to connect R6 and R8. I mean DCE/DTE? Which one here is DCE? Also packet tracer has two types of serial cables, which one can be used?
Thanks for the tutorial
