Twenty-five Degrees offers a new twist on the traditional American burger joint. This casual, yet upscale dining experience includes a unique menu with a substantial wine list. The "Bordello meets Burger Bar" is decorated with French toile wallpaper and black crystal chandeliers, creating a swanky atmosphere and old Hollywood ambiance. The third of the Twenty-five Degrees locations recently opened here in Chicago and as I found myself one week night saying good bye to our French foreign exchange friend the wildly perfect mixture which started with a chicken liver terrine followed by a downright awesome American Cheese Burger, spoiled with a spiked root beer float! A must try and a fun hip spot to join the River North area. So if you haven't been yet, we think you're missing out.

The Bleeding Heart Bakery & Cafe -Local, Sustainable, Punk Rock Pastry. What was that?
The Bleeding Heart Bakery & Cafe makes good food in ways that support the local economy and the earth by using local farmers and organic ingredients whenever possible. When we talk about a sustainable bakery, we're not just talking about the food here - sustainability is ingrained in every step of their daily operations. From start to finish, products and ingredients come in environmentally friendly packaging and they are committed to composting, recycling, and using eco-friendly solutions to clean up. By looking at their pastries and bakery items boundaries are pushed as they want to change perceptions of traditional baking. There food is meant to be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of lifestyle, allergies, moral beliefs, or health conditions. Gotta love that punk rock pastry!
