But to answer the question, I believe many of the chess players are atheists. Being Christian or Messianic is not a requirement to play chess at the club, nor will it ever be.

What difference does being an athiest make when playing chess? THat's like the guy who gets his hand sewn back after a terrible accident and asks the doc if he'll be able to play the violin.
