On March 12, 2011, 18-year-old Kevin Gilbert passed away in a tragic car accident. He was a wonderful person with such a bright future.. He would always sing with me in statistics class, and i'll never forget that silly little smile and his goofy over-ear headphones that he never took off during class. He always seemed to get A's on all the tests even though he claimed he was never listening to the teacher.. my sweet memories of him will be forever with me now. He is our angel in the outfield.


*I put this video up on facebook first, and only added it to youtube because I have been getting messages telling me to upload it here, so here it is . I was hesitant to put this up on youtube because i did not want it to seem like I was using Kevin's passing for youtube views...because that is not the case whatsoever. This video was meant for him, and the people who asked for me to put it up here.*


The song is Boats & Birds by Gregory and The Hawk, one of my biggest music influences. Thank you Meredith Godreau, you are incredible.

Donations to the Kevin Gilbert Scholarship fund are being accepted. I know many of you probably did not know Kevin, and i feel bad that you missed out on our angel in the outfield, but here is the link for his fund.
