in most moslim countries you have internet ban. Even in turkey you had some periods when it was banned. The problem is that the islamic world is in the same stat that Cristian europe was between 1300 and 1808 when Boanaprte put and end to the inquisition. Although there were some other flagelations untill 1900 but with not a big fuss
