Ten bombs that he claims are his masterpieces of absolute destruction, set to explode one month apart from each other unless they are found and disarmed by his long-time pursuers. But a game is no fun without a worthy opponent, and most of the Global Terrorist Neutralization Network agents sent after him did not survive the Sarin gas bomb in Borneo. Their deaths and your help in the incident forced you into the Basil Blackstone project team. It also made you the one person Basil Blackstone will talk to . . . as the worthy opponent in his demented game.

However, no one expects Basil Blackstone to play nice. Your superiors in the Global Terrorist Neutralization Network have re-assigned a more experienced partner, profiling expert Special Agent Pine, to assist you, for playing the "game" is the only way to get any information about the bombs out of Basil.

His rules for play are simple: Decipher the clues to find and disarm the bombs before they blow. But Basil's puzzles and clues are as twisted as he is. The penalties for losing are clear: Many innocent people will suffer a heinous death. And he is more than confident that you, the Global Terrorist Neutralization Network's newest and most promising agent, will fail.
