Welcome to the first of three parts of our ultimate fishing adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. A Mothershipping trip with Trigla to the famous Hardline reefs off Mackay. Fishing remote reefs up to 200 kilometres offshore with a 80 foot motherboat and 33 foot game boat. Dories as well. Why were U towing the one boat out? Does he save fuel for towing the other boat back in?? :-)

We tow Raptor II, out to save on fuel, but gives us huge range as we travel up to 200 kilometres offshore, well past the range of most trailerboats, into virtually untouched fishing areas, and some great fishing as well. Plus we go for 5 to 7 days, and fuel can become an issue is such remote areas, plus the Mothership provides all the air conditioned comfort, it's tuff.
