Firpo was sickening...I remember him well...he could beat basically anyone in his prime here in Detroit during the 70s.
That said, yeah, I'd agree he could get the best of the Sheik...and Lord knows that's a creepy thing for ANYONE to say.
But yes, that 'El Gorfio' was a killer from the word go brutha'.....

Chief White Eagle was rough...he was like Jay Strongbow like that...but I saw, he couldn't get the best of the Sheik in an exchange of either wrestling or boxing.
No sir...the Sheik won that one 'fair and square'...if you'll pardon the expression.
