This is a video my friend and i made for our final Calculus project. We go through a few steps how to find the velocity of the ping pong ball.

We weren't even hitting it too hard :D

We are both fairly good at ping pong too, so imagine how fast the ball travels when people spike it.

I figured i would upload this just to have it on here... Calculus was awesome and i have to say Thanks a Bunch! to my best Calculus teacher Mr. Walsh!!!

  • Cool idea, but how do you explain the ball increasing in velocity after it hits the table?

  • topspin. a lot of it lol

  • I have no idea what just happened, BUT

    1) I was impressed

    2) The song rocked my house

  • I under stood all of that

    Nice job

  • @WePoopHere no its not

unless your in an AP or IB class

  • too much calculus!!!!

  • how did you find the equation of the ball's trajectory ? I know you have points and all but in this case its a bit hard to find the equation by transformation, so my question is how did you find the equation ?

  • im not in the mood for math! but it was ok.

  • dis iz wrong

  • cool idea guys, i would've expanded it a bit though, doing the same process for a couple different shots such as a slam and an defensive under spin in addition to the forehand. nice experiment though, good thinking

  • what song are you playing in the video.
