Should we be reminding ourselves of this everyday?

So the guy that called was just some random guy? That's cool. And it changed his life. LOL!! Good twist. These short films remind me of the days when I went to film school.

how can this film be award wining?
how could you have entered it for a festival with copy-write breaches?
unless you payed the verve for the use of there song?

The film won a semifinalist placing in the Yobi TV competition last year. The Verve apparently had no problem with us using the song Bittersweet Symphony (since they didn't balk at us using it on Youtube either), so the award stands. Not all artists strictly enforce the DRM standards, which is good for us short film artists!
Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed it (even with the possible copyright infringement)

Forget rule of thirds, framing, compostion, lens adapters and DOF. Keep doing your stories, you're a good writer. That's what made this short work. Good job, man.

Thank you!

your framing and composition is wrong never frame the subject in the middle of the frame, and you have to much film space. Try using a 35mm lens adapter see the difference in DOF. Use the rule of thirds all the time, and work on your angles a bit more use more close up shots.

yeah, we didn't understand much of that when we filmed this, it was only our 2nd try at a serious short film. We've definitely done a better job on our newer stuff, though.
