@Damis10001 ummm .. if "earthy" is = to "warm and inviting", how can "made OF earth" be cold and uninviting? Perhaps their personal decorating doesn't suit you, but most rammed earth homes are very warm and inviting.

If you do plaster walls, consider getting a bunch of old news papers and any recyclable paper, tear it up and mix it with your plaster. It will save you a lot of money. Papercrete! :D

is it difficult to keep these buildings level? i would imagine that their total weight might give them some issues... how do you fix this?

Of all the earthen homes, rammed earth homes look the best to me, I could be wrong. In truth, i would love to learn to build a home like this.
