Numerous modifications result in high mpg's - though not being a hypermiler - in a very factory-looking package. The trick: getting big companies like Panasonic to donate parts, and having the technical expertise to know how to put it all together.

Very cool! It's common knowledge that more batteries = more mileage but toyota is limited to something like a 1.3 kilowatt battery, and that is after a settlement with cheveron because they own the rights to the NiMH batteries!
