i was really young when I first saw this movie.. maybe 5 or 6.. but man I cried so muchh! even now...anytime I watch this movie...it makes me bawl

I first watched this movie in Nepal, I was with my friends in Kathmandu. Little did I realize that in three more years I too would loose two children. I salute you Mother India, for the genius, and the empathy this movie brings to unaware humans. And now I know how it feels...NAMASGAR. India.. Mother, country, beauty, fantastic.. sorrow. I love you India.

I hv this watched film when I am 8yrs old n its really touched me of how a mothers sacrificed for the well being of her childrens n it teaches me to highly respect my mother and all women.

Mother India will remain for a true classic for a very very long time.
What a movie.What acting by all the cast but ultimately the movie belongs to Nargis.
Indian cinema will not and should not forget Nargis.

omg...why people in INDIA hv to go through soo much pain sometime. i mean even 2day u see sumtime in newspaper....farmer commit suicide.
i hope no one has to go through with all those pain n i hope their living standard improve.

Nargis was one of our most priceless gems of Indian cinema. A power house of talent..this actress..WOW..sheer talent..What a breathtaking author backed power packed role and she did full justice to it with her natural acting..Miss her
