  • I remember in the mid-70's driving my 68 Cougar playing this song full blast (it was in my 8-track player) and turning all my high school friends on to Lou Reed. My high school sweetheart broke up with me because she thought Reed looked "too freaky" on the "Rock and Roll Animal" album cover and didn't understand how I could like his music. God, she was an idiot.

  • best bass playing ever ,and one off the best records ever its a top 10 record:-)

  • this LP was all over the radio when I was a young teenager in the early 70's me and my buddies listen to it all the time espiecally when we were "partying" and it is still a fav of mine the whole LP is good great bass and great guitar and lou's vocals (even with the mistakes and flaws) are great as well his voice pulls it all together rock n roll at its finest I put it up there with humble pie rockn the fillmore another fine live LP sure dont make bands or music like they used to thats for sure

  • @228supernatural Funny...Same exact thing happened to me early '70s at Commack arena Long Island, NY. It was my first rock n roll show. My older sister took me with her friends.

  • Lou Reed in stato di grazia,un album tra i più belli di sempre.Grazie

  • Does not get much better than this whole album

  • terrific guitars and bass on this version !

  • this song and sweet jane from the same album are two of the best cuts - great guitar and bass

  • ....

  • Just like to point out that the two lead guitar thang was done many times before this record example being Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac but that does not dilute the quality of this record and Prakesh is from another world where bass playing is just a little better than ours.

  • FUCK METALLICA RUINING AN AWESOME SONG. WAGNER AND HUNTER BEST DUO IVE HEARD.

  • A sample from "Rock And Roll Animal", the record that turned me into a lifetime Lou Reed follower in 1974, & the sound the new Lou album with Metallica most reminds me of a modern era version of. Only took him 35 years to get to a follow-up... heh.
