Colours Bleed to Red - Studio Cover (Rough Edit) Mastering tips welcome!

Hey, Just looking for advice on the mixing side of things here, as we literally have no clue. This was recorded using Sonar 8.5, Roland TD3 kit and £2.50 Midi to USB (I know, right?), Marshall MG100HDFX, and the USB mic that comes with Guitar Hero! - I know, I know.... we need to splash out more, but we're students so that's not an option. Just looking for mixing advice really.

Do you master the whole audio file as a whole, or would you have to master each track individually? Also, what sort of plugins (Compression, Reverb, Modulator) would you use, and any recommended settings?

The same for vocals, what plug-ins/effects would you recommend applying. In previous recordings, we've just had a real trouble getting the vocals to sound part of the mix... They just seem to sound separate, or on top of the music, rather than mixed in... Any suggestions would be great! - Will repost when complete!
