love joe corvo. not only for his play, but for goin to one buffalo beating team to another in carolina. suck it, sabres. you will NEVER win a stanley cup. barrasso, hasek, and soon miller will leave too. it's only a matter of time.

I remember watching this game thinking if Buffalo didn't win this game the series was toast for them. Sure enough we found a way to screw up again and to Ottawa's credit they capitalized.

Yes it was. I nearly put a hole in the wall when Briere scored. It was the second time the Sabres had done that (recall the Drury goal in game 5 against the Rangers).
It also happened between these two teams in game 1 the year before. Connolly scored with 15 seconds left, and then Drury scored in OT on a brutal turnover.
Ottawa had the puck luck this series to make up for the year prior.
