I just spent 3 hrs online reading about mongol empire on china, east europe and russia. I was curious about heritage, and why certain countries hate each other. Also wanted to know why some facial features look Asian and what not. Very interesting stuff. Golden Horde occupied russia for around 279 years? I live in the US and it isn't even that old; and thats just a piece of history the Mongol and eastern world. There is so much history I don't know about :(.

@MrLantean As early during Han dynasty when its hard to control Northern relations of Xiong nu. Modu Shanyu perhaps not exactly Mongolian but more of Goturks Uyiguer khanate. till Later Tang which took great control over Goturks empire and subsequently crowned as Great Khan emperor of Tang.Khitans took form closer resulted Khitan/sung "china".foothold in inner mongolia is emeinent, but inner mongolia didnt submit to Ming after Yuan era of china
