Transhumanism is not about microchips and conspiracies, nor is it about profits for companies and the government. It is more about solving the problems associated with our physical biological bodies, such as aging, diseases, waste excretion, and so on. The second and more prominent aspect of transhumanism is enhancing the power and ability of our minds in order to comprehend and find answers to problems that we may think are now impossible.

@MrSpecOps wtf? microchips are definitly a PART of the transhumanist movement. and it is a project by the elite. its just another term for eugenics. pls read julian huxley, he was a leading eugenicists and the first "transhumanist". just google huxley and transhumanism and read his original text...you will see that there is definitly an agenda by the elite. the arguments of transhumanists sounds good but you have to look behind the surface.

@Straightsix76 You certainly seem to have chosen already. Nevermind the fact that you're right now taking part in the hive mind that is the internet. It's a bit less direct than a neural mega-net, yes, but it's nonetheless the same kind of massive cross-communication that the hive mind could be.

@xxhellspawnedxx I don't think you could do either, we are slowly being conditioned to have a desire to merge with machinery and join a collective hive mind so we are more easily controlled and manipulated. In the end, choice will not come into it. This is an abomination

@corrrdoba Eugenics is to transhumanism what dictatorships are to democracies. Eugenics, by both definition and implementation, exclude a big part of the human race, deems them unfit, on rather flimsy, arbitrary grounds (like external characteristics, socioeconomic situation etc). Transhumanism doesn't intrinsically exclude anyone who's willing to embrace it. If it exists in a corporate world, it just might be mostly for the well-off people, but that's still far away from eugenics.

@Straightsix76 That isn't a matter of fact, but a matter of application. What if you could join this supposed hive mind freely, or skip out on it altogether? Would it still be an abomination? I think, what you really mean, is that forcing people to do anything against their free will is an abomination.
