The LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI that I won by participating in the MacNichol's Guitars & Mandolins photo contest on Facebook. I love this little piece of gear and seems to work pretty wel with my Taylor 110ce guitar.
If anybody wants to hear it with my Kentucky KM-550 mandolin with the Mandolin Twin Internal from K&K - feel free to ask me about it and perhaps I could do a little demo of it too.
Sorry for the length of the video - as you can see I'm not particularly good at making videos like this. But I promised one to a lot of people - so I really had to.

this may be a dumb question, but I'm recently learning about guitar recording via my laptop..Ive bought a l.r baggs m1 pickup to install in my takamine g406s and been debating about what exactly I need to hook it into my laptop without getting a lot of feedback or low signal like alot of other people have mentioned when reviews ive read. So my question is, can you hook your guitar into the para acoustic DI alone to record to a PC, or do you HAVE to have a interface?

@sugargrl08 You need the interface. I needed my Pro 40 since the PADI only has an XLR output. That still needs to be converted to digital (which is what the interface does) before it can go to your computer. What you're looking for is an audio interface with built-in pre-amps (which they almost always have these days). Various companies build very nice ones at great prices. Think of E-MU, Focusrite, M-Audio, PreSonus and many others. If you need further information, contact me. ;)

@DuskY1991 Thanks a lot man! It totally makes sense now of how it still needs to be converted to use on the computer. I guess I'm so new at this, everything seems to be running together. haha

@sugargrl08 Oh no problem! I know - I've been there too (everybody has!). Don't hesitate to ask things - if people are kind enough they'll help you understand all this. ;)
Good luck!
