I had a couple of requests for this. Basically how to make a paracord handle for use on any bag or item. I used a solomon twist (or cobra twist), but you could use this same idea using almost any similar knot.

  • hey wishbone1138 what is the difference between the cobra twist and stich?

  • @wowwatcher55 see magicster comment below. It's the same but you just don't alternate. You always stick with the same side and it automatically twists. =)

  • great video..wow watch out for that meth speed ehehe

  • hah, anything that makes me tie faster knots!

  • One option you could do is lark head your second color to the center of the main color. Then go and do your knotting. There's many knots you could use here.. the half-knot you are using with its spiral characteristic may feel awkward in the hand depending on the weight involved.

  • How long of paracord do u need to do this?

  • Wrap the melted joint in 4 pound test fishing line, melt it, then dip it in melted wax. Works great

  • 55 yr old lady stroke survivor. love watching these videos. any ideas making lanyard using 1 hand? only use of 1 hand. i go in woods alot take backpack. thx 4 the video....cougar

  • So it's cobra stich without alternating.

  • Awesome video. I just realized that you are on the USN as well. I am fairly new there still. Anyway I did this to my Maxpedition Fatboy and it works quite well. I made mine 3 layers thick so it is quite thick. Thanks for the vid.

  • Great tutorial dude, going to put this idea to good use and put a load of these on my PLCE gear so as not to use up useful pocket space.
