Their focus is to appeal to the Ministry of Education to allow the OPTION for Maths & Science to continue be taught & learned in English.

This Group is set up to show number of supporters for PPSMI (teaching of Maths & Science in English) to be made an option for our children.

There will be a gathering at Speakers Square at Esplanade, Penang on the 23rd Oct 2011 at 5:00pm. For parents, teachers and students who are interested to know more about the group or to support their appeal, do drop by and participate this gathering.

  • support PPSMI, every1 r moving FORWARD, why oni M'sia is moving BACKWARD?! pls, think of our future and oso our country's FUTURE!

  • PPSMI was Tun Dr Mahathir's brainchild in 2003 when he was enlightened that English is the way forward for Maths and Science...Why is a visionary like him hiding in the shadow to watch his own growing baby being thrown away? (I have not heard him defend his own far-sighted policy yet). I think parents would like to hear Tun's views too on why he allowed his brilliant PPSMI policy to be torpedoed without a sound.

  • @rakyatprihatin In fact I won't mind at all if the teachers speak broken English when conducting their lessons. I've gone through that 5 years and I find that all of us, both students and teachers, are gaining better improvement in mastering English language. The dummie government should just continue this policy with no doubt that it would only benefit our kid generations.

  • One of the reasons the government revert to Malay is the problem with our school teachers. I pay little respect to our school teachers! Because they found it difficult to deliver the subjects in English they support the Malay language as the teaching medium as an easy way out. Look at Singapore they use English and their teachers and students do well in all the subjects. They are one of the best in Maths in the world! English is not their mother tongue.

  • this is boihlan... anything can happened. I hv worked with children in the rural area too and the children are able to read and write in English and write story books. The government seemed to stifle the minds of our children.

  • We have a funny government. Teachers are not competence yet get raised.
