El Sereno has morphed into a pile of shit. Only clean areas are Monterey Hills Area and Monterey Road, Hillside Village. and yes Rose HILL, and not Rose HILLS! You can walk from the corner of Huntington Dr & Monterey Rd up to Maycrest avenue and be GUARANTEED to encounter at least 200 shopping carts, THOUSANDS of used Pampers, and all kinds of needles on the grassy area on Van Horne and Huntington Drive. If you see shit on the median divider, be assured it is NOT dog shit but PEOPLE shit.
