"The 332nd Fighter Group made a sweep of the Munich area. The pilots were then dispatched to attack rail targets when they were unable to encounter the Luftwaffe. As members of the 99th FS began to make their stafing runs on enemy targets, bandits were called out. The 99th pilots quickly aborted their strafing runs and engaged 5 Bf-109s and 1 FW-190."
