My latest setup on my '03 Z06. Just a cold start and idle. Basic specs on the car:

VRX5 Cam .236/.238 .601/.605 113 LSA
Comp Valvetrain (the best)
25% Underdrive Pulley
Vararam Intake
Dynatech Supermaxx Headers and X-Pipe (cats will get deleted soon)
B&B Bullets
Awesome Tune, 900 rpm idle, 7000 rpm redline

A special thank you to Ron over at Vengeance Racing for helping me choose the right setup and answering all my questions. Very friendly, professional with a wealth of information. Shipped out everything immediately and kept in constant communication. Awesome group over there, definately going to be getting more parts from them.

Another big thank you to Mike who did the install and tune (and alot of maintenance). Did everything in a day, was very meticulous with my car, real awesome job. He has lots of experience with these cars so if anyone needs work done in Arizona, he is the guy to see.

More videos to come soon I hope. This was taken with my Blackberry so hopefully higher quality in the future. Have another vid posted of the second dyno pull as well.

  • Where did you get those wheels ... they would look great on my Torch Red Vette ...

  • @TDoginNC They are my stock C5 Z06 chrome wheels. Just had the chrome removed, then powdercoated satin black, powdercoated the lugs torch red and put a red vinyl around the rim of the wheel.

  • exact same setup that I'm getting installed in my '01 right now!! pretty smooth idle you have there... you must have a great tuner! (or does it get a little choppier once it's warmer and the idle drops down a few hundred RPM's)?

  • I have a great installer/tuner. He has literally done like over 400 setups on LS motors. It does get a bit choppier once it's warmed up, but I think once the cats come off, that is when it'll really open up more.

  • anytime! you take it to the tack at all?

  • Yep. Not as often as I'd like to though. Mainly road courses.

  • I am installing the exact same cam in my car in the next month or so. I'll have the catless x-pipe too :) What is your idle speed set at?

  • You should post some vids of that, i'd be interested to see, what does it run in the 1/4?

  • Thanks man!

  • Amazing car, some tasteful mods you have done to it, Z06's are the best cars
