Gary Karr presented a Master Class at Edinburg High School, Edinburg, Texas (3-9-87), in which at least 5 bass students from Edinburg and McAllen performed and received constructive guidance and much praise from one of the great names in the classical bass world. Kurt Roehm, EHS Orchestra Director (1975-2000) was hosting the event. The VSO (Carl Seale, Director)and the Valley Symphony Asociation sponsored the master class in conjunction with Mr. Karr's performance with the VSO.

Wow! Gary Karr succeeds in playing a pice that was designed to be well nigh impossible to play. Just goes to show what talent and lots of hard work and rehersal can do.
