Nastia Liukin. Olympic Champion. Hero.

This montage was inspired by another called Carly Patterson - My Love by D-Teez. After watching it, I got the idea for this one and it was driving me crazy so I just had to start working on it. This basically goes through Nastia's journey to becoming the Olympic All Around Champion, and all of the obstacles she had overcome along the way. Nastia is quite an inspiration to me, as I'm sure she is to many others as well. Throughout the Olympics I was glued to the tv, and the night of the all around I had to make the choice to quit gymnastics. But my sad night turned right around when I watched as one of my idols achieved her ultimate dream, and I actually had tears in my eyes! This is my tribute to the Olympic Champion.
Happy (belated) Birthday Nastia! Thank you for your "never give up" attitude that has inspired so many around the world.

On a side note.....Just before summer ended, I was in Plano visiting my brother days before the '09 Visa's began. I was with him and my sister in law at Target, just walking around and somehow I happened to run into Anna Liukin! It definitely made my day. She's very sweet, and I had a nice little chat with her and took a picture with her. My niece is four years old and takes a class at WOGA, so after Target we stopped by. Even though Nastia herself was not there, seeing Becca and Ivana and Valeri and everyone in action was really exciting for me. Good luck to all of the new WOGA stars in the future, keep the tradition alive!
