For our 4th collection we had the privilege to collaborate with the remarkable McBess (Matthieu Bessudo), an established French illustrator living in London, where he works for the Academy Award winning agency "The Mill". His style is a mix of influences such as Fleischer Studios' old cartoons that he actualizes by using contemporary shapes, symbols and types. Mc Bess' drawings often represent himself at the center of a surrealist world filled with food and musical references, such as amps, guitars and records. Together we created the amazing 'the Pirates are Dead' collection, including several T-Shirt designs,
a handpainted guitar, a varsity jacket and much more.
The launch of the collection on the 6th of April was a huge success, thanks to all the visitors, supporters and friends! A combination of an interactive exhibition, a cozy get-together and a live rock concert made it unforgetable, even though the local police didn't share this enthusiasm.
If you haven't checked out McBess' stuff yet, it's about time because some of the unique art pieces are already sold!
