Lyrics for those who might have trouble understanding. This was recorded with my camera so the quality is not the greatest.

YOU'RE HAVING CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS THIS YEAR

(E) No more pain, no more suffering, no (B7) more earthly cares,
Yes you've gone, and left us, but your (E) memory's still here,
We'd love to be with you, and the joy that is (A) there,
Cause' you're having (E) Christmas, with (B7) Jesus this (E) year.

CHORUS

Yes (A) you're having Christmas, with Jesus this (E) year,
And we'd love to be with you, but for now, our place is (B7) here,
Oh and (E) soon we'll be with you, with the love that we (A) share,
Together, for(E)ever, with (B7) Jesus up (E) there.

Oh we loved you, and wanted, to (B7) keep you right here,
But your burdens were greater, than he (E) wanted you to bear,
So he called you to heaven, yes he heard your (A) prayer,
That's why you're having (E) Christmas, with (B7) Jesus this (E) year.

CHORUS

Yes he came to have Christmas, with (B7) us long ago,
That's why we have Christmas, (E) down here below,
Through his pain and his suffering, is why you are (A) there,
Having (E) Christmas, with (B7) Jesus this (E) year.

CHORUS

  • Thank you for the beautiful song and the words that helped us just a little with our first Christmas without our Mom, our Nana...our life.

  • @kristine6409 You are most welcome Kristine, I'm sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time. But I am glad that my song is helping to ease your pain. Take Care!

  • Glad that you are enjoying my song ToPanga. I know that when I sing it, it brings back many memories of friends and relatives, who have gone on to celebrate Jesus birthday with him.

  • Thank you to all who are watching and listening to my video. A special song, dedicated to the special people in our lives, who have been our heroes, role models, and friends, touched our hearts, and left us wonderful memories.

  • Thanks so much, Bob. On Christmas Eve, 1979, I remember my dad saying, "Maw, I think I'll be singing Christmas carols with the angels this year!" He died Christmas afternoon. Just 62 yrs. old. This is always a sentimental time for me. We 13 children enjoyed Dad's singing and playing country music on his mandolin. We joyfully danced to his rousing renditions of "Little Brown Jug" and "There's No Place Like Home." Now I try to remember his prophetic message as he sang "Farther Along."

  • I <3 it! thanks so much, this is a hard time of year. My dad lost his battle to cancer last november and since then my holidays dont seem the same, but this song make me feel so much better, thank you so much. Gold bless you and your family

  • fantastic!!!thanyou!

  • Beautiful song!! I was definitely fighting the tears.... thank you for sharing it.

  • Reminds me of my grandpa's singing. Nicely done!

  • We lost both our parents this year just months apart from each other. While at the bedside of my mom a few weeks ago my daughter who was there also said to her grandma "just think grandma you'll be spending Christmas with Jesus". To which my mom said "Oh yes" She left us 2 days later. Our mom and dad were married 64 years and we will forever be grateful that they lived their lives spent on Jesus. Thank you for this beautiful song!!

  • this is the first Christmas without both my grandparents. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them very much
