As far as I know, at the highest resolution of 720p this webcam outputs only 15 fps.

The 30 fps is only an "up to" figure.

hes basically stating that at 30 fps the human eye wouldn't really notice the difference. 30 fps is average of most tv programs and videos you see on the internet. the only time when you need higher is if your playing games or doing something more interactive than just watching. and they make cameras that can go up to a million fps but on a consumer level they are pretty much useless. having a steady 30 fps webcam would be great especially if its at 720p that they rate the cam's fps
