  • If you watch the nd carefully then you will realise it was never a forced seperation. The dialogue indicates that they both gave up because if they did truly love each other then they would have definitely tried to fix the kryptonite problem. All Lana did was go to a mere scientist for help.

  • @TheKomgred It was a forced separation. If Lex didn't commit his grand plan of getting revenge at his ex-best friend and ex-wife, they would still be together. Just a unsurprising contrived way to end their relationship.

  • @Lencho01 I think I am making a mountain out of a molehill. Clark loved Alicia and she was taken tragically away from him. He loved the tribal girl, the one that turned into a wolf, and she was taken tragically. He loved Lana and she was taken tragically. I guess it was just a progression to show that Lois was the true love. The season 8 arc was still stupidly written.

  • @TheKomgred Well, I never liked the way they handled Clark's relationships with women. It was like he always needed to be with someone (mostly Lana) & it just hurt his character for me as far as him being an independent person. Ideally I wanted him to date various people along the years and get wiser from it. I hoped with Lana back, they would at least allow them to go their separate ways as young mature adults. Simply, "Hey, this isn't working out after all these years. Let's be friends."

  • @TheKomgred No problem. It was a missed opportunity just for Clark & Lana to realize it was time to move on. It came off as Lex pretty much saying that was his grand plan to take Clark down: make sure he can't hang around is girlfriend. A fight over a girl. Oh, & that power suit nonsense. Hilariously dumb.

With Lois, it kinda felt rushed to me like the writers wanted Clark to be with someone & just went with Lois since she's there & she's the one Superman eventually ends up with in the comics.

  • @Lencho01 Thanks for answering. I'm going to ignore the episdoes 'bride to requiem' as an alternate universe and retcon with my own version of the story =) It was just a terrible arc and bashed Lois straight to the ground. What's your opinion on it?

  • Clark is awesome, but it's not like Clark and Lana haven't BOTH treated the other like crap at times. It's part of their relationship and growing up.

  • I guess you haven't seen the latest episode then.

  • wow i stopped watching this show after i learned that lana would be gone but now im watching it again because she's back! go CLANA! all the way!

  • I did. Because of how dumb it was.
