It wasn't the opposition that led to the frustration, but the constant intervention and kettle attempts by the police. By and large the group that went into town was perfectly peaceful.
And when that police constable says "contain this group of individuals", he means they kettled innocent people for over two hours before taking their names, addresses and pictures and searching them all, just because they were at the protest.
