The music in the last chapter of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is very eerie, and blends perfectly with the film itself. Kubrick's use of already composed music is stunning in the film. There is also the rumor that Pink Floyd's work "Echoes" syncs with the last chapter. This is a small experiment I conducted with the soundscape music by Robert Fripp from the album Radiophonics. I used the title tracks, Radiophonic I & II and felt they fit into the footage nicely. This is the resolution. Feel free to comment whether or not you feel that the soundscapes are a good match with 2001's style and emotion.
considering Radiophonics is Fripp doing his take on Ligeti this actually is completely logical.

Radiophonics is Fripp's masterpiece in my opinion (among his soundscape albums). Every track is stunning. I literally want "Sky" played at my funeral.

Absolutely amazing. From almost nothing, it builds to an evil, menacing force that propels the film. I love this experiment, thanks for putting it together!
