wow this review was so harsh. the host couldnt find one compliment for the thing. I would much rather have the hardtop than spyder. anyways I didnt like the review because the host kept complaining about things that should be expected of a sporty coupe. "stiff suspension.... and exhaust note you can always hear"?

Who said I am looking for a true enthusiast car. I am looking for a convertible with space for 4 that I can get in a manual transmission. That is why I looked at this review... It's a shame I wasted my time...

I have to say, I own the 4 cylinder 2008 Eclipse Spyder and I love it! I commute 60 miles a day. The back seat is big enough for two adults, if you really need it (tight in the shoulders). We actually chose this car because we wanted sporty and function. It has the awesome sound system and it does fit a carseat rear-facing. Front wheel drive has a perk: insurance is MUCH less expensive than a traditional sports car. This may not be the choice for guys who need power, but I think it has plenty!
