  • @RonCrafton1989 Michael Jackson so he could molest them

  • Fags

  • I WANT NINTENDO!!!! :D

  • @jorgekluney Actually, the Genesis (Mega Drive) was released on August 14, 1989 in New York and L.A., and in the rest av the States on September 15, 1989. More info about the US release on Wikipedia, etc.

Maybe you misunderstood me a little bit. I didn´t mean that the Euro/Japanese version of the console under the name Mega Drive was avalible in the states in 1990, but the US model with the name Genesis was.

  • Awww damn, I want to be cool like those rad dudes...Guess i'm off the the store to pickup my 7800!

  • @Svante I'm pretty sure, back then, you could not get Mega Drive in the states. If it was sold somewhere I think that store wouldn't have been on the "up and up" - legally. I grew up during those years. Back when Atari had their magazine that had an evil character named "NinJendo" which was this asian looking bad guy, that was supposed to represent "nintendo".

  • @jorgekluney

Dude, I KNOW the Atari was released before the Genesis, but by 1990, no kid would want THAT compared to the Genesis. This was just a lame excuse to get rid of the remaining unsold stock of the 7800 which basically was a flop compared to the golden days of the 2600 (which I still use and love). The Genesis and Mega Drive is the same machine, and it was avalible EVERYWHERE they sold video games back in 1990, as it was the latest thing back then. Wasn´t hard to find ;)

  • @Svante 7800 was released before the Genesis. Also, it's not like stores were carrying the Mega Drive. They carried the Genesis. Don't go getting all anachronistic assuming it was that easy back then to just place an order for a Mega Drive.

  • Who the fuck wanted an Atari 7800 when you could get an Sega Mega Drive (Genesis)?!?!? :D

  • @voltron821 Even NESS
