[EDIT] I've added, with the permission of the editor, a link at the end of the clip to the current most popular Irwin tribute on YouTube, if you like to see it, fell free.

This is a tributary song I want to post for the late Steve Irwin, friend to all nations, 'Oxygene 13'
Irwin's life, goes without saying, was a spectacular insight into zoology and the human passion, a man that knew animal behaviors so well, he was quite daring at first, but calm afterwards at approaching a crocodile without injury, because he knew how the beast worked. His death is ironic for not only was it by an animal but, for his fame and glory came from the title, 'the Crocodile Hunter', he was not destroyed by one, a ray, from what I know anyway, randomly attacking.
The reason why I chose Oxygene 13 is, being a huge Jean Michel Jarre fan, I listen to a lot of his music, Oxygene 7-13 is one of my favorite albums. Like most of his albums, the last song, Oxygene 13, was a classic 'goodbye' song, fading into the back, all the melodies end, with a few sounds panning for half a minute or so. This song in particular though has a calm watery feel to it. I've always felt Oxygene 7-13 was a watery album, and I thought it was both fitting and right for such a clip. Also, in his recent concerts, Jarre has dedicated this song to the death of his producer's, and best friend's father.
My opinion of him is, whether or not you like him or no is irrelevant, here is a man, who wants to explain to the world how animals work, how to calm and aggravate, and to do so so the world looks, notices, and actually listens, so as to save both human and animal. He is the link between the two worlds of men and animals.
Please enjoy this clip, if you can't read the last line after the credits;
'A song for a drop of water,
that rippled the earth itself.'

  • hey man you in heaven now!

  • This is very very dangerous! Don't try it yourself

  • much respect

  • His death was written at birth like all of us. Everyone has a story from life to death and only the creator of existance knows where when and how we die. Everyones story is written in the book of existance and cannot be changed

  • what an idiot. why would you swim with stingrays? or pick up poisonous snakes with your bare hands? i feel bad for his wife, he basically killed himself. fuckin dumbass. natural slelection is obvious here

  • LEARN: Don`t play with animals !!!!!!

  • Too much risk and than he must die!!!

  • He was a great man!! RESPECT!!!!!! You are still in ours hearts !!!! Rest In Peace Steve !!!!

  • He was special because he had the courage to be himself - and that in itself was special. A great guy - not just a "wannabee" - an original. We will all miss him.
